Mykolas Romeris Univisersity (MRU) is a state university focusing on social sciences, humanities and interdisciplinary research on Social innovations for Global Growth. It's vision is a sustainable, green HEI, valuable for Lithuanian society and the community, providing international education together with high-level research, educating highly qualified graduates for the needs of the state, labour market, and personal development, creating conditions for continuous personal learning and applying modern management principles in the governance of the University. MRU is a member of IAU, EUA, AUF, is active in other key organizations such as ASEF, and cooperates with over 200 HEIs and entities. Students and staff echange, networks, EU, national and international programmes, including Erasmus+, H2020, NordPlus, COST are some key factors for internationalization complemented by joint and double degree programmes, English-taught programmes and courses for degree and credit mobility students.

MRU's mission and strategy emphasize constant and thorough education of persons and society. MRU views LLL and social services as an umbrella concept that links studies, research and services to society. It encompasses education in all cycles and forms: full- and parttime, distance, non-formal learning and validation of competences of non-formal and informal learning. The Institute of Educational Science and Social Work (ESSW) offers Bachelor's and Master's in Social Work and Gerontology, and prepares professionals for the social services sphere. In addition to general studies such as theoretical, methodological and practical training in social work, psychology, education, sociology and legal studies, learners have the opportunity to enhance their competences in social work, policies and services. MRU improves professional qualifications required by private or public institutions according their needs.

Owing to its extensive expertise in social inclusion, MRU will be responsible for:

  • Leading and monitoring Activity n°2 "Pilor course" in connection with the other three universities;
  • Supervising the sharing and exchange of experience among the academic staff of the four universities;
  • Organising and hosting the third TPM in autumn 2022.
