Université de Lille

The University of Lille (ULille, UDL or univ-lille) is a French pluridisciplinary public university located in and around Lille, Hauts-de-France (Métropole européenne de Lille). The share desire of Lille's 3 former public universities to develop a European university recognised worldwide for its research and the quality of its innovation in LLL resulted in the founding of ULille in 2018. With more than 78,000 students, 6,700 staff members, 62 research units and courses covering all fields, ULille has established itself as a key player in the Haut-de-France for education, research, innovation and social engagement. ULille places the creation of the EU Higher Education Area at the top of its priorities. It is involved in a wide range of EY-funded projects susch as Jean Monnet, Strategic Partnerships and EMJMD. Some of these include the 3AC partners. Its strategy fosters students and staff mobility and cooperation in Europe and beyond. It is also in favour of open education and has a strong expertise in the recognition of learning outcomes through open badges and blockchain technology. 

 

 

About 3AC

Among the 78,000 students of ULille registered in Bachelor's, Master's and Doctoral programmes, 3,155 (4,3%) belong to continuing and vocational education. ULille also proposes 35 short-term complementary study programmes (Attestation universitaire d'enseignement complémentaire - AUEC). One of the AUEC named "Bien Vieillir" (ageing well) focuses mainly on health sciences and medicine, and gas been primarily designed for health professionals. 

A vocational Bachelor's programme "Consultancy in quality of life, ageing - Qua2Vie" offers a biopsychosocial approach to ageing and is the source of the 3AC. Moreover, academic staff of Qua2Vie conduct research in the field of ageing and Lifelong learning (LLL).

ULille also has 74 practitioners in LLL. Additionally, a unit called Department for continuing education and work-related traning (Direction formation continue et alternance - DFCA) is completely devoted to vocational education and LLL.

Considering the scientific expertise and solid experience in EU project management, the four partner institutions jointly decided that ULille should coordinate the project. It will also be responsable for:

  • Signing the Grant Agreement with the Erasmus+ Agency in France;
  • Allocating a share of the budget to each partner;
  • Supervising the overall project, using measurement toold to guarantee a smooth and swift implementation of the activities and the quality of the results;
  • Reporting to the Erasmums+ Agency in France;
  • Co-leading the three activities together with each partner;
  • Organising the project kick-off (the first transnational project meeting - TPM) in spring 2022.
